Aims To provide free website training to individuals and community groups in Whalley Range by involving and encouraging a team of volunteers to work with the site; to raise awareness and encourage membership of our community website and to continually strive to engage people on the site.

Whalley Range is a unique area of Manchester, its tree lined avenues, expanse of parkland and rich variety of architecture conveying a sense of rural tranquillity and harmony even though it is minutes away from one of the fastest growing and successful city centres in the country.
It is also unique in its sense of community. historically Whalley Range has been a centre of rich cultural diversity, attracting people from all walks of life and from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds. In recent years this diversity has grown and developed and we hope this website will give those of you living here, or those of you merely visiting, a real sense of the richness and vitality of our community.

So join us and get involved - read all the latest news in your very own local newsletter News and Events delivered to your door every two months (ring us if you would like a copy), or listen to the stories of Whalley Range on your local community radio station ALL FM (www.allfm.org) - we will have a dedicated Whalley Range hour each week. All of this only happens because people like you care about where they live and they want to make it better, so join us, tell us your story on the website or radio, help edit or deliver our newsletter, join your local Residents Group, start a Homewatch Group, get involved in the Celebrate Community Arts events - or you could even start your own through the various community grant schemes available.
