Simply click Join Now at the top of the page and fill in the form with your details. Pick a unique username and password and make your profile as original as possible. You will then be sent an email to confirm your membership. We will then inform you when your profile is live! We check all profiles before you start using them, mostly to make sure you are from Whalley Range! Note - do not leave any spaces in your profile name, e.g. mr_peters!

When you have recieved your username and password, you can log into your profile by clicking Member Login at the top of the site and filling in your username and password. From there click My Profile at the top of the page. This will appear when you have logged in. Links will appear saying Edit profile, profile photos, profile music, etc. This is where you will add photos, text, etc. to customise your profile. You can add as many photos, music, etc. as you like! You can even add a custom background image to your profile!

There is a difference between Profile images/photos and the menu links of images/photos. Profile images are only shown as alternative images to your main profile image. If you want to show images in your image gallery or on the home page, you need to click photos in the main navigation then Upload Photos in the sub-navigation.

After adding content to your profile you can further customise your profile by logging in, clicking My Profile, then Customise Profile. Here you can add a different background colour, image and change font colours.

My mail allows you to send emails to other Whalleyrange.org members. Just click My mail then Write to send an email. The email will be sent to the member (you do need to know there username to send an email.) If someone sends you an email, you will recieve the email as normal and it will show under My Mail at the top of the page when you next log in, so you can read the email in your profile! (Treat My mail like internal mail. You can email to a users email address on their profile, but you cannot be assigned a whalleyrange.org email address.)

My Presence simply shows that you are online and if any of your friends you have included in your profile are online. This allows you to communicate more effectively.

Blogs are basically online diaries. To create one, first click Blogs in the navigation, then click Add a Category, and create a new category or subject if your like for your blog. This allows you to create different blogs under different subjects. Creating a category first, allows you to organise your blogs more efficiently. After doing this, click Add Post and fill in the details for your blog. Remember to pick a category from the dropdown box to choose which category you wish to add your blog too.

The Whalleyrange.org site has generic categories, e.g. Places to socialise under which you can either create your own group or join another group. This allows profiles users of like minds or interests to join and interact together. If you want to create your own group, e.g. playing live music, you may want to create this group under Places to socialise or Other. To do this, log in, then click Groups in the navigation, then click Create Group in the sub-navigation. From there, fillout the form with all your groups details. To join a group - click on the group you wish to join, then under the thumbnail of the group, click join group

Events are listed in chronological order on the home page. If you want to show an upcoming event, log into your profile, then simply click Events in the navigation, then Add Event in the sub-navigation.

Profile users cannot create polls themselves. If you wish to have a poll on the site, please email the Whalley Range Forum with your poll question and we will consider adding it to the next poll on the site.

Users can add feed back about any part of the site. Users can view the feed back on the home page after admin. approved.

Participants are associated with Events where, once logged in, you can participate in an event. To participate in an event - search for the event, then under the event picture, click the Join link.
