Whalley Range Children’s Centre

is situated on Burford Road, in Whalley Range at the back of St Margaret’s School.

What's On Offer?

Whalley Range Sure Start is a new build and provides a focus for Sure Start groups such as: Family support talk time, Baby massage and Food 4 Thought (cook and taste classes).

The centre also plays host to many other community groups including: Local community women's group, Dad's art and craft group, a Stop smoking group and a Physical activity and weight management group. Baby Yoga is due to start in September 08.

There is a health room from which Family Support provides a confidential drop in. Also a baby clinic run by appointment from the Chorlton Health Centre with a health visitor once a week. Activities are delivered through the local library and health centre and the Sure Start teacher works in partnership with local childcare providers and schools to ensure the best possible outcomes for our children.

Other services available include: Crèche facilities for training, child health services; outreach family support services; education and training for parents; information and advice for community parents; Jobcentre information and advice and sensory room facilities.

The Whalley Range Sure Start Children's Centre opened in April 2008 and aims to help you to give your child the best start in life.

The centre offers services for mums and dads/carers and their families and expectant parents..
